Digital Stone, Real Luxury: How CreoGlass® Turned a London Penthouse into a Light-Filled Masterpiece

Luxury Reimagined in the Heart of London

Walk into most luxury spaces and you'll see the same formula: marble, granite, and premium fixtures. But at a penthouse above London’s iconic Baker Street station, CreoGlass® challenged that narrative, replacing heavy materials with digitized elegance.

Partnering with interior design studio Resi Hut, this Baker Street renovation became the proving ground for a technology that transforms the aesthetic and structural possibilities of interior design. The key? Digitised stone-on-glass, a proprietary CreoGlass® innovation.

CreoGlass®

Reception space with the familiar formula of marble, premium finishes, and elegant furnishings with a unique circular layout and warm, textured walls.

Why Traditional Stone Fell Short

CreoGlass®

Image comparing the weighty elegance of real granite with the versatility of CreoGlass®’s innovative stone-on-glass solution.

The client envisioned a ceiling-clad “C” design in granite. But at three centimetres thick, the stone simply wasn’t feasible. It was too heavy for the existing plasterboard ceiling.

Traditional materials couldn’t deliver the aesthetic impact without a complete structural overhaul—reinforcing the ceiling, upgrading supports, and significantly increasing costs. This would have added months to the project timeline and restricted design flexibility.

By contrast, CreoGlass®’s stone-on-glass solution offered the same visual richness with a fraction of the weight. It allowed the design to be installed seamlessly, achieving the bold aesthetic the client desired without compromising safety or practicality.

To solve the problem, CreoGlass® digitised high-resolution photographs of real stone textures and printed them onto low-iron toughened glass using specialised colour-layering techniques.

The result? A flawless visual replica of natural stone—at a fraction of the weight.

Engineering and Aesthetic Mastery in the Wine Cellar

The wall includes sleek, black wine pegs and integrated lighting that enhances the colors and depth of the glass surface. A technician is seen making adjustments, ensuring precise alignment and flawless integration.

A wine wall originally intended to hold 32 bottles was upgraded to 80, creating a dangerous forward load. Real stone couldn’t support it without extensive bracing.

Modern lounge breaks the mold of traditional luxury design. At the heart of the space is a vivid CreoGlass® installation—an illuminated glass wall panel bursting with green, amber, and copper tones. It draws the eye and redefines the room's aesthetic, replacing stone or canvas with a dynamic digital centerpiece.

CreoGlass® engineered a laminated solution: two sheets of 6mm toughened glass sandwiching a printed interlayer. The installation delivered:

  • Structural safety
  • Optical translucency
  • Visual richness of Lemurian blue granite

Advanced Colour Manipulation Meets Interior Strategy

Using their proprietary stone database, CreoGlass® digitally altered the colour palette of Lemurian blue granite into an emerald-green tone—aligning perfectly with the flat’s design scheme.

They separated the image into 12 colour layers, enabling granular tone adjustments without distorting natural textures.

“We didn’t just recreate stone—we made it better, and made it speak to the space,” said a CreoGlass® designer.

Breakthrough Solutions in Bathroom Installations

CreoGlass®

Installed glass panels in a shower enclosure, featuring vibrant backlit designs fully illuminated, immersive designs in Lemurian Blue for the master en-suite and Patagonia Green for the guest shower. This image shows how glass art is adapted to tight, enclosed spaces, with rich color effects created through integrated lighting.

Bathrooms offered the biggest structural challenge: full-height illuminated panels had to fit in just 20mm of space, a depth too shallow for conventional materials or LED systems.

CreoGlass® used acrylic light sheets just 8–11mm thick, combined with water-resistant glass and gold-plated fittings, to create immersive shower enclosures in:

  • Lemurian Blue (master en-suite)
  • Patagonia Green (guest shower)

The result? Spa-grade elegance with zero compromises.

Structural Brilliance in the Bedroom Feature Wall

CreoGlass®

The master bedroom’s centrepiece is a breathtaking backlit Lemurian blue stone wall, measuring 2.6m by 1.2m. Brass subframing—chosen over aluminium due to the stone’s significant weight—provides both technical strength and aesthetic harmony, complementing the golden tones throughout the space. A fusion of design precision and artistic engineering.

The master bedroom’s centrepiece was a backlit Lemurian blue wall measuring 2.6m by 1.2m. Due to its size and weight, aluminium subframing was ruled out.

Brass was chosen instead, ensuring long-term durability while blending seamlessly with the golden décor palette.

This isn’t just design—it’s engineering with an artist’s touch.

The Real Cost of Luxury Reimagined

The Baker Street project proved that bespoke glass can outperform traditional stone in:

  • Weight savings
  • Structural integrity
  • Installation speed
  • Overall cost

With no need for additional reinforcement or multiple subcontractors, the project’s timeline was significantly compressed.

Beyond Aesthetics: Simpler Project Management

An interior designer finalizes a design concept with precise hand-drawn sketches, blending creative vision with technical mastery. The sketch captures structural elements in glass, reflecting the clarity and refinement central to the final design.

Having a single supplier—CreoGlass®—for all eight installations meant:

  • Clear accountability
  • Consistent material finishes
  • Fewer on-site errors

Interior designers and contractors reported smoother workflows and reduced project risks.
