Craig Fairbrass Feature Mirror Wall by CreoGlass in a private London residence
PRIVATE RESIDENTIAL PROJECT

Craig Fairbrass Feature Mirror Wall

A bespoke floor-to-ceiling antique mirror feature wall designed, manufactured and installed for the London home of actor Craig Fairbrass, transforming the entrance hall with precision-crafted architectural mirror panels.

Bespoke Antique Mirror Wall for a Private London Residence

When Craig Fairbrass and his wife Elke wanted to introduce a striking architectural feature into the entrance hall of their London home, they visited the CreoGlass showroom to explore bespoke mirror finishes and layout options. After reviewing several samples, they selected a premium Nubis Antique mirror finish combined with a symmetrical tiled design to create a statement wall extending from floor to ceiling.

Following a detailed site survey, every mirror panel was manufactured to the exact dimensions of the space before being professionally installed on site. The completed feature wall reflects the natural light entering through the large roof lantern above, adding depth and character while maintaining the softer appearance that antique mirrors are known for.

This project demonstrates CreoGlass's ability to deliver bespoke architectural mirror installations for luxury residential interiors, combining careful planning, precision manufacturing and expert installation.

Technical Highlights

01

Floor-to-Ceiling Coverage

The mirror installation was designed to occupy the complete wall area, creating a continuous feature from finished floor level to ceiling.

02

Balanced Panel Layout

Individual panel proportions and joint positions were planned to produce a symmetrical tiled arrangement across the wall.

03

Controlled Antique Finish

Nubis Antique mirror was selected to soften reflections while retaining the depth and light-enhancing qualities of mirror glass.

04

Precision Installation

Consistent spacing and alignment were maintained throughout the installation to preserve clean horizontal and vertical sightlines.

Design & Installation

Creating a Full-Height Mirror Wall Without Overpowering the Interior

The objective was to create a strong architectural feature across an entire entrance wall while maintaining a balanced relationship with the surrounding interior. A conventional clear mirror could have produced reflections that felt too sharp within the space, so both the finish and panel layout required careful consideration.

The Challenge

Balancing Scale, Reflection and Panel Alignment

The installation extended across the complete width and height of the wall, making panel proportions and joint positions highly visible. Any inconsistency in the layout would have interrupted the symmetry of the feature.

The mirror also needed to respond well to the large roof lantern above. The finish had to reflect natural light and increase the perceived depth of the entrance hall without creating an overly bright or visually repetitive surface.

The Solution

A Survey-Led Layout Using Nubis Antique Mirror

CreoGlass carried out a detailed site survey and developed a tiled arrangement specifically around the dimensions of the wall. The layout was planned to maintain consistent horizontal and vertical joints while creating a balanced composition across the room.

Nubis Antique mirror was selected for its softly aged silver character. Its controlled pattern reduces the intensity of direct reflections while still distributing light through the entrance hall. Each panel was manufactured to the surveyed dimensions and installed carefully to preserve accurate spacing and alignment.

Finished Result

A Feature Wall Designed to Complement the Architecture

The completed antique mirror installation now forms the focal point of the entrance hall, introducing depth, texture and reflected natural light without dominating the surrounding interior. The carefully selected Nubis Antique finish creates a softer, more elegant appearance than a conventional mirror while maintaining the spacious feel that architectural mirrors are valued for.

Every panel was manufactured specifically for the property following a detailed site survey, ensuring consistent joints and precise alignment throughout the installation. The result is a bespoke feature that integrates naturally into the home while demonstrating the level of planning, manufacturing and installation required for premium residential interiors.
