The overall design must consider panel depth, supporting structure, access for installation and future maintenance, driver locations, cable routes, LED diffusion, heat management and integration with surrounding joinery or finishes.
For installed projects, CreoGlass can coordinate the process from design development and site survey through artwork approval, glass manufacture and final installation. Electrical connection requirements should be established early so the illuminated feature can be integrated cleanly into the wider project.
Backlit Glass for Wet and Wellness Areas
Illuminated decorative glass can also be considered for selected bathroom, shower, spa and pool environments where the specification, sealing strategy and electrical design are appropriate for the application. These projects require careful technical planning, particularly around waterproofing, access, electrical components and interfaces with other finishes.
Alternative to Backlit Stone
Natural translucent stone can create beautiful illuminated surfaces, but it can also introduce challenges around weight, thickness, colour variation, fragile areas and uneven translucency. Printed decorative glass provides another design route: the stone appearance can be selected or adapted digitally while the lighting system is engineered separately to achieve a controlled illuminated effect.
